Spencer Phillips

For more than two decades, Spencer has practiced employment law, helping workers understand and protect their rights in the workplace. Today, his practice focuses on representing employees who have not been paid the wages they earned, including overtime pay and other compensation required by law.

Spencer has extensive experience with federal and state wage-and-hour laws. He also teaches employment law principles as an Adjunct Professor at the J. Reuben Clark Law School.

Before founding Utah Overtime Lawyers, PLLC, Spencer gained experience on virtually every side of employment law. He served as a Senior Attorney with the largest employment law firm in the world, worked as in-house employment counsel for a multi-billion-dollar company, served as a Judge for the State of New York, and represented employees and disadvantaged individuals as a civil rights attorney.

That background gives Spencer a practical understanding of how employers evaluate, defend, and resolve wage claims—and how employees can effectively enforce their rights.

At Utah Overtime Lawyers, Spencer represents workers who have been denied overtime pay, minimum wages, commissions, bonuses, or other earned compensation. His goal is straightforward: help workers get the wages they are owed.

When he is not practicing law, Spencer enjoys spending time with his family, preferably at the beach.
